LT’s Big Day

It meant a lot to Dave and I to get LT christened; we are both members of our church and it was where we got married last year. LT wore the dress my Grandma made for me when I got christened at the same church all those years ago and it fitted her perfectly.

We were able to share the day with all our family and close friends which was amazing. Our family friend, who actually married us, was able to christen LT too so it all felt like it was meant to be.

Our day started super early…5:20am to be precise. We’d had a late night the evening before and had secretly hoped LT might have a ‘lie in’…who were we kidding! It actually worked out fine in the end as we were running on time for once.

We decided to do the catering ourselves and we had a little celebration afterwards in the church hall so there were sausage rolls galore and your finest supermarket quiches.

Dave’s step Dad baked a beautiful cake for LT and my Mum had been baking little cakes for the kids. We wanted to do something a little bit different so we ordered some bespoke cupcake toppers from MyCupCakeToppers

My Cup Cake Toppers offer a range of cake toppers from a selection of pre-designed or themed cake toppers through to a do it yourself design package. We designed our own and it was super easy. We simply uploaded some photos and text to their website and hey presto! They were very quick at responding to email queries and the whole order process was very straightforward and easy. The cake toppers arrived by post within 48 hours in a plastic sealed package to preserve them.

We would highly recommend MyCupCakeToppers to anyone who wants to put a bespoke spin on a cake for a special occasion or as a gift. If you fancy trying them out please add the discount code TAYLOR10 and you will receive 10% off your first order.

So the food went down really well and everyone enjoyed themselves, Dave and I did our best to chat to everyone who came along and by the end of the gathering when people started to filter out we were exhausted!

We will always be there for LT to look out for her and to care for her but I got a real sense of protection from the fact that her Godparents along with all of our family and friends were there for her special day. We know that they would also be there to care for her and look after her if she needed them. Having everyone together for the day and receiving all of the gifts that we were given reminded us of just how lucky we are but the greatest gift that we have ever been given is our little girl LT.

Until next time…..

Be excellent to each other,

The Taylors xx
